Sometimes, you just get a shot that is just too fun and is a MUST share  :)  Hope everyone is having a great summer!  It’s not ALL work….our family vacation will be on a RV this year.  Driving up the west coast of FL and into Tennessee.  Looking forward some much needed rest, but more importantly, making memories for my two girls.  Can’t wait.

I have known this bride for about a year, and I was thrilled when she called to ask me to photograph her wedding this June.  It was held at the Embassy Suites in Boca Raton.  Even though it was really hot outside, we were really blessed with some much needed cloud cover to allow everyone to enjoy this beautiful occasion.   I will keep posting images as I work thru the event, but here are a few of my favorites.    Thanks for a wonderful opportunity M&S and I wish you nothing but the best.    Sincerely, Stacy

Every year I do this quirky thing…..first day of school and last day of school, so I can get a sense of how much the girls have grown over just one school year.  It is amazing to me how little they look the first day and how big they look the last day!  Here is Abby’s for Pre-K this year, she got out last Friday, May 28.    No more pre anything – she is ready for the big leagues!  Watch out Kindergarten – here she comes!!!!   ps.  usually the shoes are old and ratty by the end of the year.  Abby outgrew her tennis shoes so she got a new pair for summer!  I am pretty sure she was the only kid in class with brand new tennis shoes the last day of school….LOL.  Her report card shows that Abby weighed 39 lbs and was 3′9″ at the beginning of the year.  She was 43lbs. and 3′11″ at the end of the year.  WOW.  Oh – and notice how she needed “builda”, the bear, the first day and by the end she thought only “babies carry snugglies”.

Here’s Hanna!  A huge change over the year for her too….alot more grown up going into the 4th grade and she is much more in tune to how she looks and dresses before she leaves the house.  I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing  :)   She insisted on letting her hair grow back out after donating it last August (just before school).   We are extremely proud of her for doing so well on her first year of the FCAT.  She was so excited about bringing home the 4th grade math book that she has carried it with her almost every where we have gone for the last week!

All the kids were SO adorable in their caps and gowns and I have more pics I want to post, but I had to share just one for now.   We are so proud of her.  The teachers took the time to put together a video montage of the year to music and we will get a copy next week, it completely brings tears to your eyes…

psst…by the way, this is ONE of the many reasons to shoot RAW….my flash did not go off in this shot and I was SO bummed when I finally looked thru the images.  The image before this was fine for light, but it was out of focus.  Had I not shot RAW for this image, it would have been tossed.  Thank you CANON for making such amazing tools to help me capture these wonderful moments.

FINALLY!!!  I have been waiting and waiting and waiting and I finally got my wish for a set of BRAND NEW TWINS!  (LOL, I act like it was a pair of new shoes!)

Five years ago, on Mother’s Day, I gave birth to this sweet, fun loving, funny, adorable infectious little girl.  Abigail Elizabeth…..Happy Birthday Sweetheart, Mommy loves you.

This bride was referred to me and I LOVE it when I get referrals.   This is the biggest compliment when you hear that you did a great job and someone else also would like to share the same experience!  Thank you so much to Jennifer and her new hubby Lauro for allowing me document their special day.  It was small, it was perfect.  A little teaser before the weekend!  Keep checking back because i will most likely add to this as a sneak peek for you and your family.  Thank you!!!!

I met this family a little over three years ago.   They have two fun energetic boys and the love between Mom and Dad was infectious.  I was honored last summer when Mom called to ask me to do a family portrait, but was a little surprised she had called in the summertime.  They usually update their family photo in the fall for the holidays.  She announced that her husband had been diagnosed with Leukemia the February before  and my heart just sank.   She was excited that he was feeling great and was on his way to Tampa for a bone marrow transplant and knew that the months to come would be rough.   They wanted to capture their family before he left.   I was fortunate to hear that the transplant was a success and he was doing great.     As the new year began, it was a coincidence that my daughter and their son turned up on the same soccer team.  I had not seen Ken in months and was thrilled to see that he was doing so great.   He was telling me about going back to work as a teacher at Lake Worth Christian School (where Abby attends) in August.   My heart was full to know that they had possibly beat this!    It was only a month later that I would notice that Ken wasn’t at the soccer field and Mom then told me that the cancer was back…….  Only three short weeks later, Ken, lost his battle last night.   I know in my heart that Ken is in a better place, but I truly grieve with this family at this time.    I wanted to share just one image from our session last summer.

In Loving Memory of Ken -

It’s really hard to believe that  nine years ago today, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl…..She really is the sweetest little thing with a big kind heart.  She is smart as a whip and we are VERY proud of her.  This year we were able to surprise her with tickets to a concert with one of her favorite artists….Taylor Swift.  It worked out since the concert is next week!  Trying to think of something to go along with that without spoiling the secret that we have all kept from her since last October, we invited a few friends over and did Mini Rock-N-Roll Makeovers and photo shoot.  All the moms were on board  knowing that they would be picking up their darling little angels all ROCKED OUT in make up and hair paint.  The girls had a blast and it was really fun watching Hanna have so much fun with her friends…..there was a little drama that gives us a glimpse of what will indefinitely come in the years that are ahead, but for the moment, it was fun to allow her to let loose and do some things that we wouldn’t normally do.     TAYLOR SWIFT here we come!    Happy 9th Birthday Hanna!!!  We LOVE you!!!!
